This conference paper explores the problems and possibilities of embedding
e-learning into art and design educational practices in Further and Higher Education. It draws upon the work of the JISC funded e-studio team at the University of Wolverhampton, School of Art & Design. The paper begins by addressing the wider cultural issues facing the art and design sector in HE and FE. It goes on to explore and evaluate the e-studio methodology and finally, it considers the conditions that might help to promulgate the cultural shift that will be required of academics if they are successfully to embrace e-learning within their teaching.
